Welcome to South Stoke Primary School

It is a privilege to be the Executive Headteacher of South Stoke Primary School, and I am delighted to lead the school as part of our growing collaboration with the Federation of Goring and Stoke Row Church of England Primary Schools. Working collaboratively across all three schools provides exciting opportunities to share expertise, ideas and resources, while ensuring that each school retains its own distinctive identity, character and strong sense of community. 

South Stoke is a very special village school. Its small size creates a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment where children are known as individuals and where strong relationships between children, staff and families are at the heart of school life.  

Our three school values, Confidence, Compassion and Curiosity, are at the heart of everything we do. We encourage children to have the confidence to try new things, make mistakes and believe in themselves; the compassion to care for others, show kindness and understand different perspectives; and the curiosity to ask questions, explore ideas and develop a lifelong love of learning. 

We are ambitious for our children and are continually developing an exciting and engaging curriculum that provides rich opportunities for learning both inside and outside the classroom. We want children to develop strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics while also having opportunities to explore science, the arts, sport, history, geography and the wider world. Our aim is to create memorable learning experiences that children will carry with them throughout their education and an understanding of their place within their community and the wider world.
